Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and needs only an initial mapping session to figure out how it can navigate your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can add or join rooms as necessary. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want the robot to touch.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors due to its rotating mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to mop and vacuum is a great option for homes that have both types of flooring however, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning solution (which is included in the box) can make it less flexible than some other robots that allow you add your own solutions.
